My name is Lingbo Yu
I am a freelance Chinese ⇌ English translator/interpreter based in Auckland, New Zealand. I started WordAtlas Translation and Interpreting Services in 2020. Having worked at some of the top law practices in New Zealand for years in areas such as translation & communication, relationship management, marketing, content creating and event organising, my translation and interpreting specialties include Legal (Immigration, Employment, Family, Litigation), Marketing & Branding, Business/Finance, Events/Conferences. I also have experience in areas such as Education, Healthcare, Production and Media & Communications.
I hold a Master's degree in Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies from the University of Leeds, UK and am a Full Member of New Zealand Society of Translators & Interpreters. I also hold Certified Provisional Interpreter credential awarded by NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters in Australia).

Apart from providing translation and interpreting services to individuals in private settings, I also work as a contractor translator/interpreter for approved language service providers of government departments, and have extensive experience in translating documents/interpreting for matters involving Immigration New Zealand (INZ), Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE), Ministry of Justice (MOJ), Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), The Dispute Tribunal, Employment Relations Authority (ERA), New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA), Auckland Council, etc.
